The Guardian Project – The 30 Superhero Characters

The Guardian Project Poster
The NHL has been slowly rolling out the superheroes one by one, giving us a glimpse of some of the characters Lee created in a short six months or so. There seems to be mixed reactions for the characters as they are revealed. Some seem to love them, while others positively hate them. In between that mix are all those who basically just can’t see the point why anyone has bothered to even start the project.
Today, during the NHL All-Star game in Raleigh, North Carolina, the Guardian Project heroes were revealed. It all seems to basically boil down to a marketing ploy to attract new interest to NHL, most likely aimed at younger potential fans.
Anything that can attract new fans and inject more popularity into the sport has to be good. Whether or not all the superhero characters turn out to be popular enough to have that kind of impact, only time will tell. Early indications are that if nothing else, the whole project is certainly gaining plenty of interest, with the keyword phrase “The Guardian Project” registering as volcanic on Google trends and now taking up the current top position, at time of writing this article.
What do you think of the superhero character that your team has been given? got any opinions on the whole concept? Then feel free to have your say and leave a comment.
