The girl had been boarded the school bus at around 6.30am, which was making its way to Palm Glades Preparatory Academy Charter School in Miami.

Authorities have confirmed that the suspected shooter was another student, who has been arrested. According to the local police department, the victims 7 year old sibling was a witness to the shooting incident. The bus did not have any surveillance cameras in place.

While the 13 year old girl had been airlifted to Miami Children’s Hospital, she was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have stated that any motive for the shooting had not yet been determined and police were currently investigating the relationship between the victim and the suspected shooter.

No other children on the bus had suffered any injuries and were taken to the homicide bureau for questioning, according to authorities.

Detectives who specialize in hate crimes have now joined the investigation as it would seem that th killer may be targeting Middle Eastern shopkeepers.

A tall, balding man with a moustache has been picked up on surveillance video carrying a black duffel bag near the scene of the latest shooting. The same man was also seen on video close to the scene of the second shooting back in August. Police are now looking to identify this individual, having already questioned and released two other witnesses seen on video.

The latest killing happened this Friday, when shopkeeper Rahmatollah Vahidipour, was gunned down. The 78 year old Jewish man from Iran, ran a ladies clothing boutique on Flatbush Avenue. Detectives have found a ballistics match with all three shootings from .22-caliber gun shell casings.

The other shootings involved the killing of Mohamed Gebeli, a 65 year old Egyptian immigrant and Muslim, who was discovered in the back of his shop, Valentino Fashion Inc, on July 6. Then on August 6, 59 year old Isaac Kadare, who was also Egyptian, but Jewish, was shot in his store, Amazing 99 Cent Deal.

In each instance, the shopkeepers gunned down had been alone in their shops at the time, with none of the shops having a surveillance system in place.

Police are warning shop owners in the area to be alert and stressing that no one should work alone.

Girl Discovered Dead in Toxic Truck, Twin Brother Critical

The boy was taken to hospital, those assisting him needed treatment for chemical exposure. The boy is currently in critical condition, Wednesday. It was later discovered that the father had been attempting suicide.

The truck was too toxic to search at the time. Hours later the body of the boys twin sister was discovered in the back of the truck, wrapped up in plastic bags, wedged between chemical containers. When she died is unknown at this stage, but her body was said to be already decomposing.

The father currently being treated in hospital is now facing charges of aggravated child abuse. It is thought that there will more charges to follow shortly. According to reports, welfare officials had received an anonymous allegation, just several days ago, that the father has bound the twins feet and hands with duct tape and kept them in a bathtub. There were also reports that the girl was being starved.

Maksim Gelman

23 year old unemployed Gelman, is also alleged to have killed a man with a car and to have hijacked two vehicles. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly spoke to reporters shortly after Gelman saying “It’s so horrendous and bizarre. We have no reason that we can give you as to why he did this.”

According to police the 28 spree kicked off when Gelman had an argument with his mother, who resides in Brooklyn. She had refused to let him use her Lexus. When German’s stepfather, 54 year old Aleksandr Kuznetsov got involved, he ended up being stabbed 11 times and died from his wounds.

The mother alerted police after Gelman took the Lexus, according to police officials, who suspect that he then made his way to his ex-girlfriend’s house. Although she was not home at the time, her mother, 56-year-old Anna Bulchenko was. She was fatally stabbed 11 times.

According to police German’s ex-girlfriend, 20 year old Yelena Bulchenko arrived home to discover her mother dead on the floor and alerted police. They suspect that Gelman had remained in the house, waiting for Yelena to return home. He is then thought to have stabbed Yelena once after she completed her emergency call, before she managed to get out of the house, running into the street. Chasing after her, Gelman allegedly slashed a passerby who tried to stop him. He is then thought to have caught up with Yelena, stabbing her to death.

According to police Gelman got back into the Lexus, only to end up rear ending a Pontiac Bonneville. He is then alleged to have got out the Lexus and stab the 60 year old driver in the shoulder, neck and chest, then take his Pontiac. The 60 year old driver, was last reported as being in stable condition, recovering in a local hospital.

According to the police, German’s next victim was 60-year-old Steve Tannenbaum, who he hit with the Pontiac at the Midwood section of Brooklyn. Tannenbaum later died of his injuries.

Gelman allegedly went on to dump the Pontiac and took a cab in Brooklyn. He is then said to have stabbed the cab driver, who is currently reported as being in stable condition. After leaving the cab he is then said to have stabbed a 25 year old man in the hands, grabbing the keys to his Nissan and driving off with it. The man was able to leave hospital after treatment for his injuries.

Tipped off by a witness who has seen him riding on a southbound subway train in Manhattan, police were fast on his trail now. Gelman is said to have got of the southbound train and crossed the tracks at a midtown Manhattan stop and jumped onto a northbound express train. During his time on that train, he is said to have stabbed a 40 year old man in the head and neck. That passenger, is in stable condition.

As Gelman made his way to the front of the train, he tried to get into the front cab of the train. When the door opened he was met by Terrance Howell and Tamara Taylor, two transit police officers, who along with aid from an off duty New York police Det. Marcelo Razzo and an unnamed civilian nearby, together managed to wrestle Gelman to the floor. Although no one was injured during the scuffle, a knife fell to the floor. After he was detained police found a second smaller knife in German’s possession, along with what was described as “a significant amount of money.”

Nadin Khoury Assaulted

On January 11, Khoury was making his way home from school and he was stopped by seven teens, who then subjected him to a vicious attack which lasted around 30 mins.
Part of the incident was filmed by one of the attackers, which was then uploaded to youtube, displaying the sickening incident to whoever wanted to view it. It was this that ended up leading to the arrests.

Police in the Philadelphia suburb of Upper Darby have stated that seven teenagers were arrested in connection with the assault in which Nadin Khoury was randomly attacked and kidnapped, then hung upside down from a tree and suspended from a fence post, according to reports.

Government Message Displayed on StrikeGently Website?

According to many online sources Strike Gently was a file sharing site and it has been reported that many of the downloads available were illegal. Such resports suggest that the government has decided to step in and put a stop to the sites activity. But to me it simply looks like a big practical joke and I am sure the site will be back to normal very soon.

Many sites that have been displaying a variety of illegal downloads have been slowly closing down one after the other over the last year or so. The closing of Strike Gently today is suggested as many as being another one that is on a government hit list. Not so sure that there were ever any illegal downloads on this site. I am sure we will find out when it opens up again very soon.

Detroit Police Shooting Video Released

On the 23rd of January, the gunman, Lamar Moore calmly walked into the precinct and opened up fire on the officers. After fire was exchanged between Moore and the officers, the gunman then makes a lunge forward, clearing the desktop in an attempt to get closer to the officers and continues to fire.

Moore’s behavior appeared to be suicidal. It was if he was looking to cause maximum harm to as many police officers as possible before getting killed. He made little or no attempt to take cover while fire was exchanged, he seemed to be more concerned about getting himself into the best position to open fire at a close a range as possible.

One of the officers can be seen exchanging fire with Moore, with only a foot or two between himself and the gunman. It looks like the officer managed to get in a shot that was lethal, as although the gunman continues to move around and exchange fire, it becomes evident that within a few seconds he has been mortally wounded, as he collapses and dies.

Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee said the video was released to show the “extraordinary heroism” of the police officers in Detroit.

It is unclear at to Moore’s motive for the shooting. However, it is known that police visited his home earlier in the day, but he was not home. His home caught fire and was severely damaged, which is being considered as an arson attack. He was under investigation for allegedly holding a 13 year old girl as a slave. There is also accusations been made that he had been sexually assaulting the girl.

Pentobarbital - Sole drug to be used for executions in Ohio

Sally Benjamin Young, a Lundbeck company spokesperson told the associated press today that the executions being carried out by the state using Pentobarbital were clearly outside of the drug’s intended use.

Up until an announcement yesterday, Oklahoma used to use a combination of three drugs for executions, including Pentobarbital. Now there intention is to use the sedative Pentobarbital as the sole drug to administered when putting an inmate to death.

Medical experts who testified about Oklahoma’s intended switch to a sedative to help execute death row inmates (a change Ohio just adopted) are split on the drug’s effectiveness in killing them. While some believe that there is a lack of clinical evidence to back up the drug’s effectiveness for executions, others have proposed that the dosage given is so high, that it would most likely kill before any other additional lethal drugs were administered

Ohio announced Tuesday it is switching to the sedative as the sole drug used to put inmates to death.

Mohamad Hammoud

Hammoud was found guilty of raising money for the militant group Hezbollah and other crimes including credit card fraud, cigarette smuggling, money laundering and racketeering. His total sentence was 155 years.

This Wednesday he scheduled for re-sentencing and his attorneys believe that there is plenty of evidence to show that his original sentence was a miscarriage of justice. Hammoud, along with several others were the first to be charged on the new 1996 law, that covers providing material support to a terrorist organization.

The United States lists Hezbollah as a terrorist organization blamed for numerous attacks on Israel.

Hammoud said “Perhaps I went in the wrong way to achieve my goal. I admitted that and I’m sorry for that.”

Vincent Tabak Murder Charge

32-year-old Vincent Tabak has been arrested as a suspect on Thursday, then Somerset Police began searching his property next door to Miss Yeates’ flat after his arrest.

Now an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman has announced that he has been charged with Joanna’s murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Jones has stated “I would like to pay tribute to Jo’s family and Greg for their assistance and dignity in the most difficult of circumstances. Their support to us has been invaluable.

I would also like to thank the general public for their help and the information they continue to provide to the investigation, and the residents of Canynge Road for their co-operation and patience.”
